Tickets & Refunds
Is YEV the same as the "Yeve" app?

No. YEV (yevent.app) is not affiliated with, related to, or the same as any app or product named "Yeve." YEV is an independent event platform for invitations, RSVPs, and secure event ticketing — operated by Pierre Louis Ent LLC — and it exists only at yevent.app. If you’re buying a ticket anywhere else under a similar name, it isn’t us.

What is the refund policy?

The full refund policy lives on the Policies page — that's the single, binding version.

Can I give my ticket to a friend if I can't make it?

Yes — every ticket is transferable. Forward any individual ticket by email from your account. Once you forward it, you immediately lose access to that ticket and your friend receives the QR code by email — they don't need an account to receive it. The transferred ticket is still single-use: scanned once at the door, then it's permanently invalid.

I didn't get my ticket email — what do I do?

Check your spam or promotions folder first — tickets come from founders@yevent.app within a few minutes of purchase. Still nothing? Use the Find My Ticket page: enter the email you bought with and every valid ticket on it is re-sent automatically. Tickets already scanned at a door can't be re-sent.

I paid the promoter directly by Zelle or Venmo — is my ticket real?

Yes. Once your promoter confirms your payment, YEV emails you a real YEV ticket with a scan-once QR code — the same ticket and the same door scan as any card purchase. One scan, one entry. Refunds for tickets paid directly to the promoter come from the promoter — see the Refund Policy.

Getting In
How does QR entry work at the door?

Every ticket has its own unique QR code, delivered to your email the moment you buy (5 tickets = 5 separate QR codes). At the door, security scans your code with a phone camera — green means you're in, red means invalid or already used.

Each code works exactly once — your first scan admits you, then the code retires itself. Your entry can’t be duplicated or resold. Have your QR ready on your phone; no printing needed.

For Promoters
When do I get paid?

Payouts go out 24–48 hours after your event ends, sent directly to your connected bank account. Very large events can occasionally take a few extra days while the payment processor clears funds — if that happens, you'll know upfront, not after.

I don't live in the US — how do I receive money?

Promoters outside the United States are paid the same way — a single settlement after the event — sent as a tracked transfer in US dollars, within 5–7 business days after the event settles.

What does my payout statement show?

Every settlement includes a per-event statement — the tickets sold and how your payout was calculated — so you can always check the math.

Why does YEV pay after the event, not as tickets sell?

Paying out after the event — not while tickets are still selling — is what keeps your payout reliable. Once the event has happened, refunds and chargebacks are behind us, so the amount you're paid is money that has actually cleared. It protects you as much as it protects YEV.

How does ticket scanning work at my door?

Your door staff scan tickets with a regular phone camera — no special hardware, no app to install. Each scan gives an instant verdict: green means admit, red means already used or invalid, with a live count of how many people are in. Every ticket works exactly once, so screenshots and resold copies stop at the door.

Can I sell printed tickets too?

Yes. For cash and in-person sales, YEV can print real physical tickets — each one carries the same single-use QR code as an email ticket, scans at the same door, and counts in the same entry tally as your online sales. Ask us when you bring your event.

How do I bring my event to YEV?

Email us about your next event and we'll take it from there — we build your event page and get you selling. See what YEV does for promoters on the Promoters page.
